Michael Stich was a German professional tennis player who won the 1991 Wimbledon Championships. He defeated fellow countryman Boris Becker in the final, becoming the first German to win the men's singles title since 1937. Stich also won the 1992 French Open and the 1994 US Open, making him one of only four players to have won all four Grand Slam titles. He was ranked as high as World No. 2 in 1995 and was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame in 2012.
