The 1980s fad item CHIA was a pottery figurine of a CHIA pet, a clay figure of an animal or human that was covered in CHIA seeds. The seeds would sprout and grow, creating a green 'FUR' on the figurine. CHIA Pets were popular in the 1980s and remain popular today.
