The 1912 Olympics Track Star was Jim Thorpe, a Native American athlete who won gold medals in the pentathlon and decathlon. He was considered one of the most versatile athletes of modern sports and was named 'the greatest athlete in the world' by King Gustav V of Sweden. Thorpe was also an accomplished football and baseball player, and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1963.
