The 18th century British Queen was ANNE, who reigned from 1702 to 1714. She was the second daughter of James II and VII and the last Stuart monarch of England, Scotland and Ireland. She succeeded her brother-in-law, William III, and her sister, Mary II. During her reign, she oversaw the union of England and Scotland, which created the Kingdom of Great Britain. She also oversaw the War of Spanish Succession and the Act of Union 1707, which united England and Scotland.
